The cost for athletics and all co-curricular activities at D.C. Everest is 1.76% of the budget. This includes all sports, drama, music, forensics, academic teams, student council, Honor Society, History Day, DECA, FFA, etc.

Over 80% of D.C. Everest High School students participate in co-curricular activities.

Students involved in D.C. Everest High School co-curricular activities consistently out perform other conference schools in the local, state, and national competitions.

D.C. Everest does not just focus on athletic programs. Our school holds more national DECA place winners, National History Day place winners, state forensics first place winners, state math team trophies, national and state newspaper awards, and state yearbook awards than any state athletic team or individual state athletic awards.

D.C. Everest academic co-curricular groups consistently qualify and compete well at state and national competitions.

Over 50% of high school, junior high, and middle school co-curricular activities are supervised by unpaid advisors.

Over the last 20 years no uniforms have been purchased through the high school athletic budget. Uniforms are purchased through fundraising efforts and community donations.

The athletic budgets primarily fund travel and officiating costs for competitions. Other expenses are primarily fulfilled by fundraising and community donations.

D.C. Everest High School students who participate in athletics consistently academically outperform high school students who are not involved in athletics.

Material and labor costs for the football stadium upgrades were funded entirely through tournament reimbursement funds, business donations, and community support.

D.C. Everest Junior High and Middle School sports often share busing with John Muir and Horace Mann when attending the same events.

The Junior High and Middle School often uses high school hand me down uniforms to keep costs down.
