Patricia Newby-Richter – Class of 1967
After her 1967 graduation from D. C. Everest, Patricia Newby-Richter spent several years in the travel industry. For the last 12 years, Pat has been the office manager for Farms International, a program that provides revolving micro loans to Christians in poverty to start income-generated projects and become self-supporting. This work has taken the Richter’s to several countries of extreme poverty and sometimes danger, including Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Thailand. More than 25,000 families have been helped by the revolving loan program, which has its headquarters above the Richter’s garage in Knife River, MN.
