GroupWise - Reorganizing Folders
As with most GroupWise tips, this one doesn't apply to you if you are
using a web browser or common Internet e-mail program to access your e-mail.
If you are using the full GroupWise Client, read on.
Unlike some e-mail systems or programs, GroupWise does not force you
to keep your folders in alphabetical order. Unfortunately this usually
means that the folders get listed in roughly the opposite order as you
created them. (i.e.: Last folder goes on top of the list.)
Sometimes this just doesn't cut it and you will want to reorder or reorganize
them. You can do this two different ways.
With the mouse:
-
Just drag and drop the folder using the left mouse button.
-
Done. (Yep, that is all.)
This doesn't always work. For example, it's pretty difficult to drop
a folder between two other folders without putting it inside one
of them. For these cases, try this:
-
In the main GroupWise window, choose "Edit" from the top menu.
-
Choose "Folders"
-
Select the folder you want to move.
-
Use the "Move Up", "Move Down", "Move Left", and "Move Right" buttons to
put it where you want it.
-
Repeat 3 and 4 until your folders are how you want them.
-
Click "OK"
